Has anyone experimented with these? Id try them myself but Im green as grass and if it turned out good, I doubt I would realise it ^^'Good luck and Fair shaving to you ^-^/

It's unlikely to take an edge, and even if it did it probably wouldn't keep it.

Thanked: 0I am right there with you in the Newbie category, but given that the steel is 420, it's being sold from China and the price is under $10, I wouldn't put it near my face!
420 is a serviceable knife steel for less than hard use knives, but I don't think it would translate well for the edge retention needed in a SR.

I bought one of these as a first razor before I knew any better. Complete and utter crap! Awful. Leave well alone.

I wish China would make something quality in the straight razor world.. but then again in our western world when are the words China and quality used in the same sentence? Unless it's to exclaim the lack thereof.
I wouldn't put this to my face..

A general rule is avoid it for shaving if it has the word "knife" in the description!

Thanked: 237My brother bought one and used it for a while. I tried to hone it, but it had more issues than a gold dollar. I would recommend considering it to be a toy or movie prop, not an actual shaving instrument.
