Thanked: 3795I had hoped that it would break $200 but that is the curse of the 5/8 razor. They were the most commonly made size of razor but now everyone wants bigger.

Thanked: 33Oh man! I thought I had more time. And while I have no one to blame but myself, my stupid ebay app didn't give me the normal warning notification! I was soooo close......
Hopefully whoever won gets years of enjoyment from it. They have added a lovely piece to their collection.
And if the sale falls through for some reason shoot me a PM or second chance offer through the bay.
Congrats on the sale and to the buyer.

Thanked: 228I too was surprised at how low it went for. A 6/8 is my preference though.

Low? I know the stamping makes it uncommon, but in the end it's a 5/8 razor from a common Spanish razor brand (possibly out of a Solingen blank) made for an American retailer. A nice little razor, but no more than that. I'm not surprised at how much it went for (Filarmónicas always attract plenty of attention), but I wouldn't consider it low by any means.

Thanked: 1936Heck, it went for more than I have ever given for any commercially produced razor...but then again I'm one of those who wait around for a steal. That's the chance you take at auction. Glad a member will put it to use.
