Yeah! I ship exclusively with priority small flat rate boxes. Free boxes, I know exactly what they fit and how big to print my labels, insurance, the works. I'm not an 'in it to make money' seller, so I can afford to have people angry with me if I don't ship in other methods. For me it's just not worth the effort, especially since the priority is a really good deal all told.

Yep have to blame the postal service on that one, their the best who just upped the price t send the box, and that's not even the guy wrapping it and taking it to the mailbox. So that shipping is ok, just any more is something that might take an issue with me. If someone offers free shipping I just figure that it's going to be marked up as if you were paying for it. Tc

Thanked: 480On occasion, I have put "Free Shipping" on my auctions, Simply because I know it can be a bonus incentive. But I usually reserve it to razors that I know will reach at least a certain level of value. Giving 7 dollars of free shipping on a blade that sells for 10 bucks just seems silly. And if an auction goes higher than expected, I will not skimp to make up a few bucks, and will purchase added insurance above the standard, just to be safe. I don't want to lose out, but I also don't want to take advantage. It IS possible to be generous and fair and still not hurt your own pocket in the process. I consider it good business.

[QUOTE=Suticat;1605932]Ive been watching a razor for a few days. Its nothing special and no one is bidding on it. I wanted it for practice honing and thats about all its worth using. Anyways, once I "FOLLOWED" this item, the seller changed and jumped up the starting bid by quite a bit. Can I just say, I hate greedy sellers on the Bay.
I think there are sellers who over inflate the prices on items for sale, but obviously you want to get the best price for your items.
I have been looking today and found a couple of bargains, (shipping costs excluded) an over priced "Wade and Butcher" claiming to be shave ready, and over priced Bengal with a huge chip.
I have had some success buying on ebay, so I don't think everyone wants rip you off, is just a case of buyer beware IMOLast edited by Doublewood; 02-28-2016 at 01:45 PM. Reason: missing words
