One thing to bear in mind - when setting up an eBay listing to accept offers, there is an option to automatically accept offers of at least a specified amount and conversely to automatically reject offers below a specified amount. It is quite possible that your offers were rejected automatically, especially if it occurred immediately. I have used this feature several times myself, it keeps your mailbox from being filled with ridiculous lowball offers, e.g.: $50 for a fully restored 8/8 Wostenholm FBU, etc.

Must be a special razor to put up with that type of treatment.
I haven't found a razor or stone yet that I wasn't willing to walk away from.
Why is it so special to you? If there is a particular reason you want this particular brand/style, you may be able to find someone here that is willing to make a deal or trade.

Keep in mind Ebay's official policy is don't deal with folks outside the auction. So you made an offer and he rejected it. Now you go around the auction to make an offer via "contact the seller" and he ignores you. Sounds like he is doing what Ebay wants him to do.

It says not to buy or sell outside of the auction. Communications are allowed.
I contacted him twice before by the contact seller route. Then twice via the relisted make an offer option. His was never listed as an auction but only as a buy it now listing.
Ive contacted others this way to start a dialogue on an item. Then we agreed to a price and they resisted it with our agreed upon price. Allowing me to buy it through the auction method to protect us both. I won't buy it outside of that route and I won't sell outside of that route. But there is no harm in starting a dialogue.
And its not a razor or stone.Last edited by Suticat; 03-17-2016 at 04:56 AM.
