Thanked: 3225The Amazon puzzle
Recently a well know shaving soap could be bought on Amazon for $10 USD with free shipping. If you looked at the sellers site under "shipping" there is a list of countries they ship to and the cost of shipping to the USA is of course free. Shipping to Canada in the same chart is listed at $2 USD per item.
Going to Amazon.ca the same item from the same seller is listed at $CAD, USD price plus the $2 USD shipping when converted to $CAD, but still shows free shipping for the item to Canada. So how then is the shipping "free" when near as I can tell it is included in the item cost of the item if shipped to Canada?
Makes you also wonder if the "free" shipping to the USA is not already rolled into the total cost anyway. It's a puzzle alright. Regardless it is still a good deal in the end, just a bit puzzling.

It appears to be rolled into the item price. They don't give anything away. They have it figured out to the penny. Even on ebay you can look at an item with free shipping and its higher priced than the same item that you pay the shipping.

Thanked: 4826It's true there is an honesty difference between free shipping and shipping included. I am going to have to be careful as to how I word my ads. I should not throw stones if I do the same thing. I will be watching me from now on. Hopefully my ads have always said shipping included and not free shipping.
