Default Looking for my second shave ready razor

Hi guys. Just over a month into shaving with a straight, a 5/8 Dovo best quality I got from Tony Miller. I'm happy with it but...

I'm looking for a second but different razor to use while my first resets.

Anyone ready to release a shave ready SFK Wapienica or perhaps another mid range price but good shave?.

I have a DD Satinedge for $45. It's a little rough around the edges, but solid blade and edge, if you're interested.

Thanks for the response and heads up xman. I bet I'll regret this some day but atm I'm a little afeard of the point on those though I hear they are amazing.

While I am totally hot for a french or rounded spanish point razor right now or one of those Polish ones honed by one of our boys. I think I will need to be more experienced before I go for the seemingly more aggressive straight pointed products.

Nah! I think its better to learn the spikes while you're still "scared" of the razor. Once you get comfy with the RP, you'll pick up a spike and forget....go for the spike now!

Agreed, spikes are fine to learn on, my first razor was 6/8 spike and my jugular is still in tact.

if you insist on one of the polish ones, i have one i'd be willing to part with in a week or 2 (if you don't get one by then)

by then i'll have received my new paddle strop and hanging strop so i can finish it up nice

i definitely agree! spike points are kind of scary, but once you get the hang of it you wont regret it.

I learned on a spike and have never had a problem with them, in fact I prefer them.

    Default Wapienica

I have 3 unused Wapienica's shave ready honed by altima55. As I also have a fourth in my "herd" for my use so I would be glad to part with one, or two of the usused ones. I have NOT shaved with these, as they are still in the box I received from ALTIMA55.

PM me if you are interested. My cost is about 20.00 each, so 20.00 plus postage would be about right.

Also, Altima55 usually has nice shavers on E-Bay. I usually bid about 25.00 and hope I get lucky, as all his should be good shavers, and I am only interested in good shavers, not collectables.

Thanks for the responses guys. I have indeed ordered a Wapienica from Jonedangerousli

Of course rad has just begun! I'll be looking for something sick with a spanish or french point when I get my next poker win.

    Thanks again
