If you look at all of the seller's listings, you will see that most of the razors came from a collection. Many of them have old clear tape on the blades. I think what you are seeing is blade edge peeking out from behind some old worn cellophane tape.

Yep, Mr. Chick is right, I have to take back from post #9 after looking closer, the edge on that razor has the silvery colored glue from Duct tape, the tape came off leaving the residue.
Most of the razors from that collection had the edges taped, various types were used.Last edited by FAL; 06-15-2016 at 11:25 PM.

Interesting. If an SRPer got the FBU, or one of the others maybe that will be confirmed. Hope the tape didn't hold moisture up against the edge. Anyway ....... remains to be seen.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
