53 Razor Collection
So, I just (like palms still sweaty) missed out on this one: Multiple Vintage Straight Barber Razor'S | eBay
looks like there was some nice razors, several not pictured. Hope one of us got it!State v. Durham, 323 N.W. 2d 243, 245 (Iowa 1982) (holding that a straight razor is per se a "dangerous weapon").

$800 bucks !!?? Glad it wasn't me that was lucky enough to get them. I've got to get my herd together for a group photo and list them !!!
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

its only about $16 a razor, but when you put that many together, it sure seems like a lot more!

Thanked: 3795I would have no problem paying $16 per razor in a large lot, even if there were a few Durham Duplexes amongst them, but only if the seller shows me the BLADES!
This seller did not even show all 53 razors. His photos only had about 40 shown.

It would have been no effort for the seller to show all the blades instead of repeating the same picture of the razors 3 times. Not showing the blades on straight razors for sale causes me to think of a seller with intent to deceive prospective buyers.

I wouldn't have bought the lot without seeing the blades. If you get a few that should be in the bin, then it ends up being and expensive buy.

Thanked: 39I don't buy razors that I can't see a clear makers mark. I've seen some that I liked but when the makers mark is wore out and the tang is 90% smooth I won't buy it. I will ask better pictures sometimes and mostly get them upon request.

Thanked: 98Boy, I'm old fashioned and would like to beat the snot out of some of the Greedy Ebay sellers, you can pick them out right away, usually because of poor pics, no info written other than "I don't know anything about razors" For every deceiver there are 3-4 Good honest people, they should be rewarded and I do when dealing with them.
IF Gentlemen would quit paying 300$$ or more for rusty crap razors, the prices would go down to REASONABLE in a short time.
