Unless I'm badly mistaken ebay began including shipping with the price of the item when charging final value fees Allegedly to discourage gouging on shipping. Seems along with them doubling fees this was just greed on their part. Only game in town.

It is about Fees and Taxes

Was just looking at a set of LED side lights for the tractor (Yes I know I am going overboard shhhhh) .99¢ for the lights and $22 for shipping

But as long as everyone knows the final price ahead of the game, I wouldn't give Neg Feedback

I was not aware of that, but given the prevalence of the excessive shipping charges for profit, I'm not surprised at ebay for poking their finger into that dike.

Doesn't seem to have stopped the leak altogether. Anyway .......... I'm over my hissy fit. I knew what the shipping was going in. I did message the guy and tell him what I thought. He replied asking if I was looking for a refund. I told him no ....... if I wanted that I would have said so ....... just venting.

You can always give a reduced star rating for shipping costs.

I was looking at a nice razor the other day and WAS going bid on it when I saw he was charging $9.00 for shipping! I did NOT bid on it. I have never had a problem with folks using those $2.50 brown envelopes not one broken razor yet. I have even quit bidding on those that charge the priority box rate of $6.80.

So if a razor sent in a $2.50 brown envelope turned up damaged would you wear that or expect the vendor to refund some or all of the price?

I would leave positive feedback - as you said, everything was up front, the pipe is great, was there in a few days - you were the sole bidder to you got a great price, he got a couple of extra bucks for a great pipe - sounds like a win/win to me....

Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy! You knew he was overcharging a bit for shipping in order to make some money.
No matter the selling price. (cheap!).

A trip to the PO is worth 10 bucks at my local. Pain in the butt.

If he got it there, as-advertised and fairly quickly, you have no complaint? Buy the other one.....

A bit of gift to them is fine by me. A Priority box is what...7 bucks now? 6 buxs.

It would depend, if the handle was broke It would not be a deal breaker, I have learned how to replace broken handles. If the blade was broken I would mention it to the seller and NOT expect any kind of refund, but if the seller offers one I would take a partial refund. If it was an razor I really liked I might think about offering to pay for a priority box. But as I have said before I rarely pay more than $ 30.00 for a razor. I just bought a rare C. Klauberg & Bros "Damescene" 5/8ths razor for around $25.00 I have a in very good to excellent box that needed a razor for it. That's the only reason I bought the razor.
