Nice razor. Those strop/storage cases are pretty common with old French blades. The tang stamp is most likely the retailer that sold it and not the manufacturer. That's usually the case when they're marked Paris.

And it just arrived...having a look at it now.
The box and strop are actually in superb shape, and it's obvious the razor is unused, never been honed at all, semi-dull "factory" edge. Slightly loose pin that should tighten up fairly easily with a few taps, and they are indeed metal scales.
