Default I Name this - The Forgotten RAD

Placed a bid on this a week ago on eBay France, the only bid, completely forgot about it, and this is on the way now from France...metal scales, looks like a nice big razor with an interesting grind, and hey, comes in it's own wooden box with some type of pouch attached to it.

Gotta love it when the shipping price is higher than what you paid for the razor.....

Nice score from viva la France!
Wonder if that pouchy parts was supposed to serve as a strop way back when?
    Very cool looking kit regardless.
You do forget the coolest winning bids Andrew! Metal scales to boot, sweet.

    You think it's a strop...that's crazy.

I'm pretty sure it's filled with drugs...you know the French...

I bought a similar looking paddle strop like yours at a flea bag. When I got it home and started fooling with it the lid slid off and out popped a Germania Oxford.

    What a nice surprise.

    Great score, Andrew.

I agree, I think that it's maybe a travel strop with razor storage built in. Time will tell.
I had a similar experience with some fountain pen ink from the U.S. I placed a bid just so I could keep an eye on what it finally sold for, then I got an email saying you have won this item.

    It's great when that happens.

Cool looking razor. The box, strop or not, is really cool to my eyes.
