Does Italian post customs continue to be the most hateful, thieving, inefficient pile of misery in Europe on the mail front or have they made some effort to improve in the last few years after the whole internet roasted them?

Oh, you mean there are others who are as finger happy and inefficient as the South Africans.

I now make use of a courier and bypass the SAPO for importing of goods.
