    Default Thuringian or something else?

I have an offer and counter offer in on this item but not 100% sure if it is what I think it is.

Looks like a Thuringian but I know that there were older norton "man made" hones that were similar.

Can anyone identify what it is?

Those photos just are not enough to go with. But my thought is, were not most of the "man made" stones 6" and NOT 7"? Its a gamble, but it is a nice box even if it turns out to only be good for your kitchen knives, it will look good back on the wall where it belongs

Thank you. I was afraid of that. I will decline the offer and enjoy my "celebrated water hone" which is on the way to me.
