    Unhappy You just cant help some people

    Have tried to help a person listing a razor with the wrong information twice. Even gave him correct description of maker and fact razor is missing the scales. I get back a sarcastic answer.

    Guess it does not pay to try and educate people with the proper info.

    bouschie, it is funny you bring this topic up. I have gotten so sick of mislabeling that I make it a point to contact the seller and provide them with the correct description. Half the time I get a nice thank you and they make no change or I get a thank you and they make the change. On occasion I too get a nasty response. What upsets me the most is when they make no change. There is a retailer that is currently advertising a NOS Filarmonica 12 for $485; the problem though is that the razor is a NOS Filarmonica 10. 10's are very common and sell for about $100. I let them know of the mistake and as you would expect, no change, no response; I just hope the razor never sells.

    I always assume on high dollar items like a Fili 12 that the seller knows exactly what they're doing when mislabeling, it's hard to make that mistake. and hopefully any potential buyer does their homework before dropping 500 on a mislabeled posting with no return... it seems to me that folks that do business like that never stick around very long. maybe i'm just cynical

    I can help here.

    As we learn more about these little razors, we naturally like to share info.
    A good thing here. Notsomuch on Ebay unless you are selling.

    Ebay is not a forum. Does no good to call bullshit or correct a seller most of the time.
    They don't care for the most part. Just want to sell an item.

    Save yourself work and heartache and just laugh. Their mistakes are sometimes to your advantage if you know what you are looking at.

    If they don't research what they have or want to misrepresent it, it's their problem, IMO.

    @sharptonn

    Amen! Nothing like getting ready to get a great deal on a mislabeled razor only to have Good Sam come along and inform the seller of their mistake. I've lost a few great deals in this manner. If you aren't interested in bidding or buying just move on.

    Indeed, some sellers are history/razor buffs and have garnered-up info.
    Some even welcome additional info and ask for it in their listings.

    Likely to make it more desirable, I suppose.

    Yes, nothing like a know it all who is not going to bid......
