Why not discuss a good auction? We all check ebay. It’s a free market economy, prices rise and fall with demand. Am I missing a rule that says good auctions can’t be discussed?

BTW, same seller of the silver scales linked-to earlier, last week or so.

They have become proud of those!

Nothing wrong with it, but surely will drive up exposure and price by doing so.
If it's one you really want, you are increasing your competition by sharing direct links is what Geezer was eluding too, I think..

Nice project that would be, btw.
Hope the winner does it justice.

I just figure that the free exchange of information trumps an individuals unknown and hypothetical interest in a publicly advertised item on the biggest auction site in the world.

I could buy that and put the Hammond blade in the scales which have the Irish blade in them. While the front scale is cracked, hopefully the back scale is intact and I can replace the back scale on the one in question with that as it has a chunk off the top back there.
So then, I restore both razors and work my ass off .
Send the Irish up to B52........
What to do? Now everyone will know I want it so the bidding will go through the roof on ancient junk. The blades are lots different anyway. Yeah...Status Quo...

It's been reground way thinner than either of mine. Note double-stabilizer! Double-thumb-notch?
Also, My Hammond does not proclaim 'patent temper' on the tang. This one is from an earlier batch? Seems both are WR's?
The back scale on it will do me no good. Ck the contours.....??

But it is I who possesses the Dublin blade. Arrrrr!

Ahhh see, I love that double thumb/ thumb finger notch. I have a Joseph Rogers with them. But it cuts into the stamping. So I'm uncertain if it's made that way or if it was worked into it after. Maybe it is authentic, and the stamping was just a standard size and they did not have or make one at the time to fit the narrow tang after the notch in the top and bottom? I just do not know. Looks clean, but still am uncertain.

I got in sh*t for this a couple weeks back.lol I was throwing up ones that were good deals for guys on here to snatch up. The issue there is, after everyone sees them. It will no longer be a 'good deal'. There are many members.... and TONS of guests roaming this sigh all the time. So although the thought was there. It kind of ruins the intent. But yea, it threw me off with the Auctions Forum. But I think it's mostly just to point out the bad ones., or ridiculously priced ones. You can ask questions about one you're interested in, but again risk the attention taking the auction off.
