Good shavers?
Ok, so this guy on eBay says he's the author Philip L. Krumholz. Fine, I can buy that. But what I can't buy is that these razors are both good shavers in their current state. Especially not the one on the left. Wonder if he tried shaving with them before claiming that?

Carefully read
There is one of the biggest the pitfalls of Ebay, for me....carefully reading the description reveals: (1) "The blade is fine and would make a good shaver". (2) "might make a shaver, don’t know until the rust is gones". I know I have to watch myself to keep from missing the "fine print".

I took a punt on a couple from this seller (not these two) and they turned out OK - I went solely by the photo and guessed that I'd have to hone them anyway so what the heck? - they weren't dear to buy. I just wish that a published author could manage better structure to his writing - the grammar is particularly dire. I'm also a published author (honest!) and let me tell you that my editor would have a blue fit if I turned in writing like this chap does!

Well, those razors were not regular lots of his, apparently, but razors he sold for a friend or acquaintance, so they were not the same quality as in his regular auctions. But to claim they are nice shavers in the title seems pretty strong, when he later disclaims that in the text itself. That's what I reacted to. Seems he uses the exact same title and main text for most all his auctions, no matter what the razor looks like. Lazy guy. And apparently he doesn't look at his own auctions and notice that the HTML tags show in the text either. One would think that he'd notice something like that and change the text to remove them... Classy, or what?
