I was thinking along the same line.. Perhaps laundering money? Paying a debt? Purchasing something else?
    SOMETHING fishy!
Even most millionaires want more bang for their buck than what was evidently sold.

IDK, I feel like millionares pay tonnes of money for relatively worthless stuff in the name of "art" or "unique pieces" all the time. If you can convince some super rich dude, this is a one of kind piece for his "collection" of antique german silverware...i'm sure there's people who'd pay that much. Think about it this way - there's plenty of people who make SO MUCH money that $10,000 to THEM is like $1 to me and you...neither of us would mind tremendously paying $1 for that even if it isn't "one of a kind" as remarked, so someone who makes 10,000x what we do shouldn't mind paying $10,000...that's my thinking.

You keep using that word, but I do not think it means what you think it means.

Start migrating over to the term billionaires instead -- a 1,000 million dollars -- and you will more up to speed with 2019, Mike.

Tjh explains the difference between "us" and "them" pretty well also. Sheesh, what a crazy world.

Right, right "billionaires". I'm just waiting for the day when we have to start saying "quadrillionaires"...WOW that's an unwieldy word.

Oh I get it and agree...
The thing is that billionaires don't use eBay to launder money.. So with regard to this (perhaps silly) idea of them having some other fishy business going on, it would be millionaires doing it And not billionaires.. I should have specified more clearly .
Yep it is crazy, just trying to comprehend/grasp the idea of a billion in my bank is hard to do.
I'd possibly be paying someone to post this! Lol

The way I imagine having a billion dollars, is, every-time you have money to spend, imagine you had ten thousand or even 1 million times as much. Buying some hot dogs for $2? Imagine if you felt the SAME WAY about say $20k...u know that penny you dropped on the sidewalk and decided not to pick it up cuz it's just a penny? Imagine you felt that way about $100k.

Some people actually bought Pipe Tobacco from WO Larsen for $1000 a tin. Exclusive stuff. Not for me but hey if $1000 is like .10c then I guess why not.

I'm gonna need to start imagining what product I can make that will appeal to the crazy rich...
What ever it normally costs, I'll times that by 100..

Alas, I'm sure that there's a catch.. I'll need to spend 10X the amount on enough steps in the process to necessitate a large "buy in", putting it out of my reach.

I wonder if a shill bidder won it and then backed out after it was "sold". Then again anything is possible.
