Scales. A bit long on the blade yet all looks it to me.......I think short...........Tang is 3/4 as long as the blade.........Edge issues at the heel.

    Feel better, Cheetah?
    Yes!

I was looking at this razor, and to me, it looked reground and the length didn't look correct, almost looked like that notch had been added, plus, the edge had some damage, and would definitely lose some width in the honing to get a nice edge, and if it was cracked - doom.

But I looked and did a hard pass....

I missed it....TBH, I don't look much any more. Not so much to see, it seems.

Happy with what I have any more. Somebody spent a pile on a poke....

Agreed, I still have some searches for specific razor's I'd like to find, and occasionally something will trigger (always not what I'm looking for), and then I'll browse around, but on the whole, content and happy with the collection I have now.

Now that the heat of the hunt has cooled for me, I find it tremendously enjoyable to open my razor chest, or one of the other two boxes of stored finished razors I have, and know that no matter what razor I pull out, I probably haven't shaved with it in awhile, I'll remember why I liked the razor in the first place, and have a great shave.

Was shaving the other day, had a chuckle to myself, thinking how there was no way I would ever willingly stop using a straight razor.....

    Well-said, Phrank.....About the same here.

Still, I feel for newer guys who have to pay premium for less....
    Sort of.

Oh well. Some benefits for old farts?

Yeah, benefits for guys with your caliber of collection, if you ever decide to sell, like maybe that tapered blade you took a picture of for me a few weeks ago....
