    Default Another old ebay find...

Can some of you experienced restorers give their opinion on this one: https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Vintage-Earl...cAAOSwq2Nd5W5O

    1. I want to try and do this myself, not sure how hard it is for a newbie like me
    2. What's up with the shape? The heel looks like someone grounded it as a way to overcome a "heel hook", but the toe is weird too, is that normal, it's not a straight line - the spine is longer than the edge.
    3. I KNOW I've seen that mark somewhere, I'd wager it's english (purely based on the fact that if I remember it, it's more likely to be english)...but just can't put my finger on it.

I would contact Glen (gssixgun) as he can do wonders restoring razors. I would not try this one as a first time, too many mistakes can be made that can ruin as razor that can not be undone. Something that old needs to be left to a pro, not a first timer....no offense intended.

BTW, would love to have one like that in my collection! Enjoy!

Glen is good. He repaired a Joseph Rodgers & Sons frame back with French point for me that had the brass frame or back piece missing. I did the scales, he added the brass frame back and honed it to perfection.

Don't forget to post pics of the razor when you finish it or have it done by someone else, we love pics!

That is a razor that you do not want to learn on. Either practice on a hundred others first or send it out to a pro.
