Thanked: 0Student looking for starter Straight razor
3 years ago i was travelling in china and i picked up a shavette, and also a cheap straight razor
i started using the shavette immediately, because of its simplicity and i did not learn to hone the blade of the shaver. when i returned home, i found that the blade rusted and pitted. i tossed the blade and kept to using the shavette i picked up
now i always intended on finding a straight razor and learning properly how to use it. i think i was at this forum and i think i posted under the name quite simply of johnlee. this past summeri had my backpack stolen, and of course, it had the shavette in it. It was probably semantically the most important thing i had in that backpack, the rest was clothes. anyways. i havent shaved since that got taken, (first time in my life ive hadsomething that is recognizable as a beard)
i dont really think i want to go back to using a mach 3 or even worse a single bladed disposable.
