    Default Fishy Duck??

    http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Razor-du...QQcmdZViewItem

Looking at this auction got me to saying WTF??

Am I seeing something normal or am I seeing a re-build Duck being passed off as new?

Just thought I'd pass this along.

Name on the blade doesn't match the scales, thats the big one, plus I don't remember seeing a DD with that shaped point. Not that I've seen all the variations of DD's but I haven't seen this before, and it sends off alarms...

The scales and blade both say satinwedge! on the other side of the tang it does say pearlduck, but I don't know anything about D.D's.

Could it just be a mis stamp on the tang? I've not seen many good pics of the DD wedges.

'germanrazors' is a pretty good person to deal with, and he usually has some amazing NOS razors for sale. For some reason, I doubt this one is a red herring. I'm thinking it's the real deal, and a fairly recent production (after1955ish). But that's just guess work.

What I find interesting is that a German guy bought a German made razor in the US and is selling it from Germany!
