    Default dag nabbit

Dag NABBIT !!! It happened to me!!! I was a victim of feedback hostage!!! I won a strop on Ebay on 9/17/07. I paid for it via paypal on 9/17/07. On 9/21/07 I sent email inquiring about the shipping status. Here's the exact words in the email.

    Hi there,

I was wondering what he shipping status of this time is.. I haven't received it yet.

    Thanks

    Richie

No response. So on 9/24/07 I sent another one. Below is the exact words...

    Hi there,

I wanted to followup on the shipping status of this item.

I finally got the strop on 10/1/07. So I left POSITIVE feedback. The f-ing seller left a NEUTRAL feedback. SO I emailed and asked what's the deal with the NEUTRAL feedback.

    This is the person's response

I think you were rude. You were crying that you had not recieved item 3 or 4 days after payment.Don't you think that's a little unreal. I take take pride in getting stuff out as soon as possible. Then you didn't have courtsey to let me know when you recieved as I asked you to in my response. That's the deal with the Neutral.

    What a jerk!!!!

Do you guys thinks I was RUDE when I sent out my emails ?

I seen a couple of poor advertising the other day, it just goes to show that some people have absolutely no idea what they have in their possession. Well they only messed up the title of their sale. One was advertising "3 old switch blades" that were actually straights, that person has no clue as to what a straight of a switch blade is.
The other was someone advertising a "Bengall safety razor" which too was a straight, nothing safe about that unless you actually know how to use a straight.

I would have bought the Bengall because no one bid and the price without a reserve was about $17USD but it had 2 chips in the edge, this was in immaculate condition apart from that and the box, I haven't seen a straight box from an old straight in that condition ever. Can't help but wonder if I should get him/her to make a fixed price offer, but the chips did look to be t least 1.2mm deep and that is a lot.
I'm still fixing a knife that one of my old room mates used as a can opener putting 2 or 3 chips about 2mm deep and 4 or 5mm wide. The knife looks so small now. I don't want to make a straight smaller than it already is.

Default but sometimes they shoot themselves in the foot

I picked up a Goldedge in near perfect condition last week for $37. The seller used a badly focusesd photo; which probably scared away bidders who are less miserly than me. I took into account the low number of transactions for the bidder; and took a chance that the bad photo was not intentional.

The razor arrived last night. After 200x on the 4k, 50x on the 8k, and 120x on leather, I was able to get BBS with 2 passes.

Well, in his defense, who would use THAT razor?!
    Especially since I think it's a corn-razor
