Question Is this a real Wacker?

I look at the bay every so often, not to buy, just to see what's out there. I haven't purchased anything new in several years and I'm really not tempted.

Here's a Wacker that looks a little peculiar to me. Wonder if the smarter and sharper eyed folks here can either confirm or deny my thoughts.

It's a Sheffield blank that looks to be a bit on the old side. It's got "Solingen" scales. Nothing wrong with either of those. However, it's got a Wacker etch (not an imprint like older Wacker razors have). It just looks to me that someone removed what ever mark was on the razor tang and replaced it with a Wacker etch. What do you think?

Austin is a member here. I don't think he'd intentionally sell a fake. JMO

Looks like an Ern design between “Wacker” and the heel.

I can see your thoughts. That is certainly an odd grind on the show side of the tang.

Besides the odd Wacker etch it looks like a Puma #66

Griffiths sells “Wacker Historic” razors. I’ve copied the decription below. I wonder if this might be an example.
“ We are pleased to be able to offer some very special razors which have been brought out of the archives by Johannes Wacker, current maker of the renowned Wacker straight razors. Among them are one of a kind, rare, NOS, and limited edition models which you will rarely, if ever, find available for sale. Some razors are Wacker models from years past or razors of other brands ground from old blanks or originally ground 50-60 years ago by Johannes' father or grandfather. ”

I bought this on the bay several years ago. I am no expert on Wackers by any means. Described it as best I could assuming it was a legitimate/real wacker. Read on one of the shaving forums that Wacker did some regrinding and this may be one of those. No deception intended from me, just thinning the herd.
