I also think it's not much of a user - at least not for me. Over the last months, I have developed a preference for 6/8 or so full hollows and framebacks...

Need to whip out my big boys again just to see how I feel about them now

Back to topic - Gary got one of these for 35 a couple of years ago I think I'd love to have it for about 200 myself, but am definitely not paying 500 for it. A collector is another story, of course. For this one I'd venture it would sell below 400

Pretty razor, but it looks like the scales are celluloid, rather than horn. What do others think? If the scales are non-original, surely it won't sell for too much more than $228 (where it is as I type)?

I think scales are just mint horn I haven't seen any one of these razors with celluloid scales. If it sells just for 228 some people here may regret not bidding

Ouch. Don't get mad - if you had 350 it would most likely sell for 360 anyway. I am guessing the guy who won had a 510 snipe on it

Oh, I never get mad about losing an auction. Good to know that some anonymous bidder might have possibly had an alleged $510 snipe set though...

290 only.
I had thought it would fetch more.
Still more than what I wanted to pay though.

290 - not too shabby. Guess the buyer got a deal because the last one sold for over 450, iirc
