    Default Sleeping while on Ebite...

Yup ya can do some foolish things when you should be sleeping... Like surfing on Ebite

Some how I managed to bid on something I had no intention of useing... (See pic) although there is an interesting straight in the lot, but there is a bunch of stuff that leaves me

So it looks like I'll have some other "Stuff" to play with before I see if I can sell it off.

Just a fair warning, don't snooze and surf while on Ebite...

you can do much worse trust me
hopefully it wasn't expensive. strangely i've been thinking evey now and then that i should pick one and only one DE razor for traveling on arilines (hate checking).
So if you decide to get rid of the one top middle i'll take it.

Dropped this at B&B also, figured I may get some kind of info. I really have Zip idea what I'm going to do with the "cartige" stuff, the clippers are going to get looked over by a buddy that a barber. See if it's worth hanging onto for those off the grid types

Can you carry DE blades on you onboard? I thought you have to check them? (Haven't flown for a while).

For the record, for travel I'd take either a frameback with a removable blade or a Heljestrand Single Edge Safety razor set (these blades get honed and stropped like a straight). I haven't used anything but straights on my face since I started, but this Heljestrand razor is just too beautiful

    Cheers

I posted this on B&B a few mins ago, Sense there was more DE and SE razors in the lot. I'm still working on the Torrey at the moment, it's small so I may end up selling it or trading it for a larger blade... those short blades feel weird...

    Got the box today !!!!

Wow do I have some cleaning to do... The straight was listed as rusty so I was expecting a scary sight "Rust on tang and can't read the name" that about covered it to Well I got the majority of the rust off in about 30 mins and a wire brush attachment... Turns out it's a 4/8 J.R. Torrey So even if the other stuff turns out to be beyond repair at least I got a good straight out of it

The clippers are very clean and shaved my arm hair off with not a single tug... So I'll have to see about a good way to store those.

    The rest of the razors...

The Christy... I hope I don't offend anyone by this... YIKES what the heck is that thing??? It looks dangerous at any speed... It has a blade in it and that was bad enough. I'll not be trying that thing.

Now the "Gem and or Blue Star" look identicle. The Pat # and NOS. are the same on both razors, but one has an open rake and the other is a closed bar. The one with an open rake on it has a blade in it as well, a blue star blade... Go figure... Other than that they are identicle.

The Gellett New, the finish is next to gone, so it's been used. But it seems to be well cared for. Again a blade was in it... Like I said, dangerous at any speed... However it has a bit of appeal, not sure what that means yet but we shall see. I thought there would be codes on this to find it's age, nada, was I wrong? (most likely ) This one I may try cleaning up as well and setting aside at the moment. I'd like some pointers on cleaning it up, have MAAS and cotton, will rub

I'll get some close ups tomorow, I'm still working on the Torrey as that was my main reason to get this lot... (kind of wonder though...)...

It's funny I like the looks of some DE's but I'm more nervous about shaving with a DE than a straight, go figure I have little intention of shaving with the Gellett New but I don't see myself getting rid of it any time soon... Who knows...

The other razors are as good as gone, I'll post them soon as I'm not that interested in them.

Gugi shoot me a PM if interested in the Gem.
