If my girlfriend hadn't been watching online television...

...I would have at least TRIED to pick this one up. I politely asked her to let me borrow the computer, and she gave me the "But this is the best part" line. I had every intention of sniping this one, but looks like someone got a hell of a deal on this one instead. I've always wanted one of those pink handled Revisors.... Why I don't know, cause I'd never be caught dead in a pink shirt.
Oh well... There's always next time. These things usually bring big money though....DAMMIT!!!!

Oh.....My..... God.....
Now I know what you guys have been saying when you say "I set a snipe"!!
This is rediculous shenannagans.... I'm not sure it's even fair!! (But I like it!)
I've got no time to look into the particulars of this Gixen thing right now, but when I get home from work......
Look out!

Not everyone agrees, but I think it's completely fair. I'm usually willing to pay X dollars for a razor, and Gixen lets me specify that amount. No bidder fever to drive up prices.
I think if everyone used it or something similar, prices would probably come down as a whole. Of course, there's always the person who will bid $1,000 for every escher that comes up, but do you really need an escher that badly?

Josh, I've used auctionsniper for several years. Have you ever tried any other sniping service?

well, i'm pretty sure the pink played a significant role in the final price
I think you're a lucky man - next time a pink revisor comes around you'll probably land it... not that i'm opposed to pink, but somehow i think i'm in my 'white' period right now.... so anybody sees ivory handled revisors, take off your grubby hands

Josh turned me on to Gixen and I have used it. However, I use it sparingly. If it's something I really, really want - go Gixen. Otherwise I take my chances. In the long run its cheaper for me.

what did chapelle say - "i'm rich beya<beeeep>"
well, there is no way they can bid for you if you don't give them your account info. in the worst case if somebody buys or sells a lot of stuff on my behalf i'll just abandon ebay
