I bet he got smacked by eBay for how the auction was set up initially with the restricted bidding and posting about adding pics. No clue, just a guess.
I still thik he's nutz. I just noticed it looks like the back scale is cracked by the center pin and it looks like the pics now show less blade detail (pitting and rot). I may be a very nice item and I would actually pay big for a mint one, but that doens't look to be it. I'd love to get one someday....
So much for NOS.....
Sad part is if someone pays big dollar for it, it will just skew the prices even further putting one out of my reach even further I wish him the best of luck though.
Maybe I'll find someone with a bunch of them and willing to work out a deal..... barter maybe since I am broke!

Thanked: 0True he did not state NOS but it does say original condition, lol. I dont think he knows much about razors.

Oh well. As soon as the Sweeny Todd fascination wears off, the prices will be back down to what they should be and people won't be selling $30 razors for $100.

My point is he is trying for prices befitting a NOS example based on what they have been going for, not what is actually there.
I'm just peeved I was at work and missed a reasonable deal:

Not perfect, but much more in-line in my limited opinion.

That was a good deal I saw that and a few other DD's go for the right prices in the last 2 days

I've got two DD goldedges and they are my favorites. No other razor I own is as sharp and comfortable. BUT although I would dearly love a wonderedge - no way would I pay that much. My most expensive one was about $65.
So far the only razors I've been seeing on eBay that appeal to me have been bid up to silly prices. Unless I see something really great I'll confine my buying to flea markets and antique stores.

There are actually reasons that the DD'S are so popular, I mean besides Lynn's video....They do hold a great edge, they do hone up very easily, and they do give a very smooth shave, and heck they even look good doing it There is nothing wrong with the razors, just the prices that they command...... When I was looking for a Wonderedge and a Reaper I was told countless times to buy a TI instead, now look at the threads on our forum about how bad the QC is at TI. Sooner, rather than later, I will pop for a Ti then I'll get the opportunity to judge for myself.
