Hey, I just shaved with one of those! Nice razor and a great price, especially still in the box. You'll love it.

So the dilemma is do we or do we not shave with our new ducks? I think once I achieve hone master status then I'll be using her for life, but she is mint also.

They were made to be used. If you're a person who enjoys collecting old things and want to keep it pristine, great. If you're a shaver, shave away. Don't not use something you like because someone else says it's more valuable unused. You own it, you determine how it's more valuable.

I completely agree. I've always been of the mindset "I bought X to use X". But I know plenty of people that just like having nice things to look at them and appreciate how nice they are. It's a choice you're going to have to make yourself.

I shaved with it this morning, wow! Very nice, I also got a starter strop from Tony yesterday so I just had to try it. My neighbor thinks I'm nuts to shave with it, but I don't think he understands He says collectors "can tell" if it's been shaved with and I would have turned a tidy profit on ebay in a couple of years.
I was impressed by the warranty on the package.Replacing the razor if it goes less than 75 shaves before honing sounds like a pretty good product. This is not a "modern" razor that you buy then ship off to a "honemeister"to have made shave ready. If I figure the cost of disposable blades alone this razor should pay for itself quickly. Here's a couple more pics..

That particular model is a very nice razor but it is not going to be a super valuable collectors item anytime in the near future. If it was a Wonderedge or Reaper then that would be a different story, but it is not. I would enjoy shaving with it and try to keep it in the best condition that you can (clean it after you use it and oil the blade if it is going to be stored).

Ouch, now I know what they mean when they say "wicked spike" Being kinda new and putting this sucker in my left hand to get close to my left ear got me a few painful pokes in that ear..
