Default Wood Travel Kit-How old is it?

I bought this off Ebay approx a month ago. I found it intriguing. It's a hand made wood travel kit complete with a velvet lined razor coffin, a strop and....a hone. Condition is only fair, but I bought it mainly to use it as a prototype sometime to make something similar for myself. Does anyone have any idea how old this might be? I think the best clue to a leather expert may be from looking at the pic of the underside of the strop. The leather has a defined "cross hatch" impression that may date it.

The cross hatch pattern suggests that it is russian shell! As for the rest, I can not comment! Your links are invalid!

I inherited one similar to this from my grandpa. My guess is, he bought it ca. 1910.
