Connection caused me to lose lots today
My connection slowed way down this afternoon and I saw a parade of "ones that got away"

$35..geez
Then there was this guy selling 5 beautiful razors..3 were NOS, and I just couldn't seem to get any of them. Here's an "unused" one as he called it..

Kinda high, though. So I thought I could grab this one..an "unused" Henry Sears 11/16

I couldn't even get a bid in for any of the rest..they were either "shave ready" or "unused" The guy had all his auctions one minute apart!!!

Hehe..I nicked that one off a nerd forum I go to. Some days it seems very appropriate. Picture 5 beautiful razors from the same seller. Two shave ready and the other three NOS(and he offers to hone them)..BUT all 5 auctions end 1 minute apart..AND my connection crashes right before this 5 minute interval..Now you have that picture
I found a really funny animation of a Doberman humping a stuffed pink panther doll, but I was afraid it would be a bit much for this forum

Consider an auction sniper: once you entered your max. bid no worries, they bid last minute! I use Gixen, works great, never lost an item unless I was outbid of course. And: I haven't been tempted last minute to up my bids. I need one anyway because most items in the New World end sometime in the middle of the night here.

Thanked: 4I use www.auctionsniper.com and love it. You just set it and forget it, and like you said you're never tempted to up your bid in that last minute frenzy, which is generally what causes people to overpay on ebay.

I used auctionsniper, just when the guy has 5 auctions ending in 5 minutes it gets real hard to work.
You cannot add, modify, or cancel a snipe if there is less than 5 minutes left until the auction ends. When the auction is about to end, you may notice that a lock will replace the Cancel and Modify links.
After these auctions were over I set up snipes on three auctions, then my connection wouldn't load the snipe page and I ended up winning all three. I intended to cancel the last two if I won the first one. If I lost the first and won the second, I could cancel the third. Oh well, I've got a lot of razors coming this way..

LOL that top razor, an Electric Cutlery Co 5/8' There was just that awful picture and not much description..
The celluloid (I think) handle has the appearance of ivory. The blade measures 3” and the handle measures 5 ½”. Everything is in good condition with the following noted: the handle needs a gentle cleaning, the printing on the box is difficult to read, the box has a small piece missing and the box shows some wear.

I use esnipe and I set it to bid with one second left, never fails, unless there
was a higher bidder. In the case of these razors ending close to one another
you could enter a maximum bid for each one, or enter them in a group bid so
you don't end up getting in over your head and having to explain to your wife
why you just bought 10 razors in one minutes time. This is from there website:
eSnipe helps save money and time with bid groups. Suppose you'd like to buy
a new computer, digital camera, or other commodity item. Just find all the
auctions you're interested in, set a price you're willing to pay for that item, and
add to a bid group. As soon as you win one of the auctions, the other listings
are all canceled automatically.
