Thanked: 4I rarely have bidders remorse but I also rarely win.
I have taken to using a snipe service to avoid bidding things up needlessly but I have also become quite selective in my bidding
These two elements have reduced my win rate dramatically as I try to stick with a good price on a razor that I like. With some of the prices I have seen in the last few weeks that leave me at the back of the bus most of the time.
That said at the ebay prices I have seen lately I can buy NOS from one of the various vendors or Customs from my favourite makers. E-Bay feeds my need to sand, polish and grind things.

In following with eBay policy you cannot.
Bidders remorse is not an accepted reason to retract a bid or fail to complete an auction. Bid retraction is allowed for honest mistakes in bidding and is restricted while also monitored by eBay staff. The seller can complain over a bid retraction they deem incorrect and eBay will investigate and can suspend a bidder.

How to Bid Conservatively
The best way to control your urge to bid higher than you should is:
Just tell yourself there will be lots of other razors.
And there will be.
Not only that, but they go through these little mini fads. Sometimes a particular razor sells for way over what is reasonable and it lasts for a few weeks or a month or two, and then some other razor becomes fashionable and you can find your old friend for a reasonable price again.
There seems to be an endless supply of these old razors, which I don't quite understand but, OK, why not.
I always bid exactly the maximum of what I feel good about. If I lose the razor, I just go find another and bid on that.
I know I am in the right ballpark if I win 1 in 5.
