They look pretty nice and the buy it now price isn't toooo bad. I would stick to a known brand at that price, though.

Those are English and German steel blades. Both are good steels It sounds like this guy is doing some veneer work with the woods. Looks interesting and the prices are reasonable.
But I would buy from the Buy/Sell/Trade forum first.

    Just my two cents,

I just bought a 4/8 from him. Excellent service. Mine had a 1 piece scale that was very well done! Good vintage German blade that was restored well and mirror finish.

I am well satisfied! Now if I could only shave decently with the 4/8. Man, I did not know 1/8 would make such a difference!

Mine may be up in BST if I can't stop loosing blood with it!

I have been talking to him for the last couple days, seeing as he lives not far from me (about 1.5 hours) he seems like a pretty decent chap, but says he is not on the forums.

I am still waiting for these to show up
    http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...MEWN:IT&ih=012

and I am considering taking them to him to get finished up so I do not have to ship them across the border to a member here.

So for those that have delt with him do you think this woul dbe an alright idea?

Here is the 4/8 with the one-piece scale that I got from him. Beautiful piece, just need a little touch-up on the pasted strop, was not quite as sharp as I like my razors. After the pasted strop, shaves and looks great.

I am still trying to get used to the small blade!
