A good question. I wish I had a clue what sells and why on ebay. A few weeks ago I sold three "shave ready" razors on ebay. I had sent all three to be honed for $15 a piece. I did everything right(I thought) pics & descriptions were good. The most I got for any of them was $20.51. I'm in no hurry to go through that again. Oh and it took all of them from 3-5 days to pay after the auction!
I saw this guy selling his "treasures" and copied the link to a page of them with a couple of razors and a couple of strops for sale. I bought two strops very much like the $99 "Buy it now" strops he's listed for $8 and $12
He does have a "Buy it now" Goldenedge for $99 and it looks like he's clueless as to what a Dubl Duck is. I got the feeling that any str8t razor would be $99 from this guy.

i am gonna try to get more pictures of the dubl duck, and see if i can get him to bring the price down

But yeah, I am decently new to this, but i don't see why the bidding is do bad

I offered $ 80.00 for it .I never got a reply.

basically it seems that the seller has gotten a whiff of what str8's sell for and thinks cos it looks old it must be worth a mint.....many of the questionable razors that show up are from people who are clueless and the buy it now option is what they think its worth, obviously we have a better idea...best offer, sure, and when you dont hear back well that just reinforces our perception of their ignorance.
At the end of the day, why care, its not like a better one wont come along now is it...whether its a DD,W&B, its all down to how badly you all need it.

Hey if this guy sells the duck for $90+ he'll probably start finding old junk Str8's everywhere and listing them for $99, too. I've thrown away stuff better than a lot of his "treasures"
