Thanked: 1Good catch?
A Henckels Friodur for $79 w/ shipping? It looks to be in good condition and while I'm not a good judge of size, it seems to be a 6/8. I was happy to catch it and this will reduce my lust for the NOS Friodur razors at shavingship.com.

Seems I was the one competing with you for a little bit - I just put my max bid and went to bed though. They sell for around $160-$200 or so on shavingshop new so I think 80 is great if you can hone it and re-pin (or at least fix) it as the seller said it goes to the side when you close it.

Think I'm gonna end up getting a 7/8 w/ spanish pt and scalloped spine from shaving shop. From the site though it sounds like it just comes with some generic black plastic scales though.

Nice catch, I set my snipe on $52 on that one. Would have been more, but I'm broke
Oh and I love the generic plastic scales at shavingshop. I can afford an incredible razor and have it rescaled when I can afford it. A NOS 8/8 henckels friodur with a worked spine for under $200

Thanked: 1Yeah, it's clearly not centered on the scales, from the description. The problem (not that I'm complaining!) is that I've not messed w/ SR pins before and I sure don't want to start with this razor. So I hope once I get it, hone it up, and shave with it, that I won't love it too much to send it back out to get it worked on. Well, I do have a couple other razors to use while it's good, thank dog.

I was thinking the same thing with getting one from shaving shop and eventually re-scaling it with some custom wood scales. Hopefully Mike Ratliff gets some up on his site! I haven't been too impressed with the ones on classicshaving.

Thanked: 0i too was bidding stupid ebay security. they should add a social aspect letting you create groups of friends, etc, that you can see names for instead of the s**t you see now.

I agree with you about the ebay security measures, you dont know who you are bidding against. Some people you just dont bid against, such as friends, big spenders and fools. I also think that its one way that they are increasing the money they make through bid wars.
