Red Imp 132: What's on the blade
My brother just grabbed this for me as a late b-day present.

Says no rust and no pitting, but nothing about staining. I'm hoping that dark area near the tip is a reflection, since in looks similar on both sides.
Also, would anyone care to venture a guess as to what kind of shape the edge is in? There's one pic where you can kinda see the bevel.

Thanked: 416That dark spot is most likely were the blade rests in the scale you see it a lot. the rest of the razor looks pretty clean from what I can see in the picture.

In that case, would it just be a stain, or would it affect the blade at all?

Thanked: 3795Usually they come out with a little polishing. Sometimes it takes minimal sanding first. I have never found a razor with staining in only that spot to be any kind of problem at all in cleaning up.

M*A*A*S will probably get it, although that location is a little difficult to polish.
Wow these Red Imp's are going high these days. Never thought I'd see one go for more than $40.00.
But they are superb shavers.
