Default Thoughts on this Wolstenholm IXL

I just snagged this tonight. It's a Wolstenholm IXL. The name looked familiar, so I thought I'd grab it since it was pretty cheap and looked decent. What do you all think? Worth it? And how much work do you think to clean it up?

My thought is that I should have bid on that one myself.

That should clean up nicely and you can't beat the price. I
restored one a little bigger than that and it gave the best
shave I've ever had. The whiskers were jumping out of the way
    when that thing came.

    Nice buying...

The hype surrounding Wade & Butcher (which are great razors) tends to overshadow a lot of sheffield makers who were every bit as skilled.

Wostenholm, Rogers, Reynolds and Allen all sell for reasonably modest prices and represent fantastice value...

You should be very pleased with that razor at that price mate.

The lord was on your side that day as I was bidding on that razor. I waited a hair second too long to snipe at $18.80. So it must have been meant for you. I hope she turns out to be a nice blade to restore.

I've actually never restored a razor before, but if I find it's too much work for me I'll prolly send it out to have the work done rather than sell it off. But if having it fixed up is too expensive, I'll let you know.

Oh, sorry I grabbed a razor from you. When I'm on ebay, it doesn't list the bidder's full usernames, so I can't check the list of users' usernames.

No no you would not know SRP was bidding in most cases. A lot of SRP members watch for good deals. I think it is just timing and I work from
home and can keep an eye on one that I like and that helps alot.

Nice catch. I had my snipe set for $14.99.
    There are always others..
Let's see it during and after the restore.
I'm always amazed how good folk can make their work look.
