Feel Sorry For this Buyer (crown & sword)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=310033812050
Antique crown and sword razor, went for $34.99
Only problem is it has been shortened. Looks like nearly 1/2" has been removed from the toe. Probably it got broken off and has been reshaped.
If one of y'all bought it, you should return it. Seller says it is in perfect condition which simply isn't true here. It's possible the seller didn't know (???) but contact them immediately if you bought this.

The link is broken, but I was looking at a C&S that just ended so I think I know the one you're talking about. I thought the position of the lettering looked a little off.

This is the item number, look it up on Ebay.
Sorry, I always seem to have trouble getting links into these messages.
Keep in mind I am just tryin' to help here.

I was watching that auction too... and was tempted to contact the seller to set him straight... but I cowardly stood by and watched bidder after bidder take the bait...
I sure hope someone warns me if I was making a deal like that.

I have to say that even a quick look at the photo indicates a rather crude attempt at rounding the blade. I think there were more clues than just a short blade. Perhaps someone really wanted the scales?

Or it could still make a good shaver. I have a shortened DD No1 that shaves great.

Yeah I saw that one. It'll shave fine, just looks kind of... strange.

Ahh I saw it as well last night noticed it looked shortened and has a frown in the edge.

No doubt it can be honed and made a decent shaver.
The problem is the price for a razor that is damaged but advertised as not damaged.
