Hairline fracture
Hey guys...I bought this genco a few days ago, and it arrived today. I was pretty excited as I think they make excellent little shavers. Then I inspected the blade closely, and there is a hairline fracture...perpendicular to the razor about half way down the blade...I was soo bummed out! I moved it back and forth a little and it actually shifts. I contacted the seller...so I hope he/she will take it back

That's a shame about the cracked blade. That one looked very nice. I have a few Genco's and I really like them.
( Should there be another razor fan club, "Genco Gents"? hint hint)
Looking at the listing, it looks like the seller would be willing to work something out with you. I have obtained excellent merchandise and service from sellers who provide feedback based solely on your payment.
Good luck!

FWIW if you have a Genco after 1936 its a Case before that its from Geneva Cutlery.

Hey Bob, she finally got back to me and said she would take the razor back. However, I have a feeling I'll be paying for the return postage, but if I can get my money back....sounds good. Thanks for that tip...I have seen those Case razors around...maybe I'll have to pick one up.

Thats great, sounds like it might be an ebay seller on the good side. Hopefully you will get shipping back as well.
Mine doesn't say Case. It does say Genco Bradford PA and US 1951. WR Case & Sons bought the Genco Trademark in 1936. I haven't heard anything bad about them, mine is just waiting for scales..
