    Default Jaguar razor?

I was going to bid on this, but is it a quality razor? I haven't heard of Jaguar before.

It's a french, fairly heavy grind razor. I have one and it is probably my best shaver currently. Not too much known about the company but you will find the makers mark here under champredon. http://www.couteaux-jfl.com/marques.htm
A good razor in the right condition IMHO.

    cheers

I put in a bid on that, too.
My bad, I hadn't read your post when I did! I'll stop!

Only got one French razor. It's usually English or Swedish Steel.
Mine is really good. Better than anything Boker I have tried for example.
Take a chance and buy it. I don't think you will be disappointed.
    Buy it and enjoy.

You could probably have that thing ready to shave in well under an hour, based on how the photos look....

looks good, but if you get it I'd say you should quarantine it from your other celluloid scales razors and watch it carefully. The spots on the blade look very suspicious.
