I just had to buy at least one of altima's razors and I was embarrassed that I shelled out $76+shipping. Now it doesn't look like a bad deal. The 6/8 "Yea Olde English Razor" Sheffield is still among my top 3 shavers 4 months later..

    Default The pendulum swings

Folks, this happens to all hobbies. A hobby will start with about 2000 communication interested fans. The item (Model trains, plastic airplane kits, vintage glass, telephones, it don't matter) will be low cost but unvaried. Then, due to the communication, new enthusiasts will come in and items will become varied. More announcements will proliferate about the latest "thing" and it will cost slightly more. Now there is "advertisement" huge anxious concerned people acquire the "thing", they investigate its history, classifications arise, shortages of classes is noticed, experts list the variants of the shortages, totally dis-interested individuals start speculating monetarily on the variants and exhorbitant entry level costs drive the fans out. Look at the price of quilts, men's knifes, fishing lures, reels, rods, perfume bottles, telephone pole glass insulators and my HO gauge box cars ($25.00 each, give me a break!).
