It's a pink one!!
After all the talk here about how wonderful the pink razors are I had to do it. I won a PINK Crane Cutlery razor on ebay tonight.

Gong Razors were produced in the mid to late 1970’s by Chuck Barris. Their exclusive purpose was to shave contributors preparing to perform on a vaudeville-esque television program entitled “The Gong Show”. Gong scales were notoriously ludicrous, and Gong blades were often not sharp in the least, but they guaranteed an entertaining shave by virtue of their brazen unfitness to perform the job.

Ya know I thought it was something like that. I just couldn't remember the name of the guy to search for. Now that you mention it the scales do look kind of like a ripe bananna. Do you realize that this razor may know the identity of the unknown comic. Man this thing must be worth a fortune. Im putting this back on the bay with the low starting price of a bajillion bucks. Hey this razor shaped history after all.

Quite actually gong razors are rather rare finds and compare favorably on both the hone and face to a Boker... Although they are most likely made by ERN of crown and Sword fame.

Thanks for the info syslight, thats more than I found so far. I was almost starting to believe the Chuck Barry one
Unfortunately the blade etching had to go. There was too much pitting and the top half of the etch was already gone. Once I get the new scales made I'll post up some pics
