The ad originally stated, "I have been told that this red clay bar is a razor hone"

So I asked the seller this question: "'I have been told that this red clay bar is a razor hone' - I am just curious who told you that?

    Thanks!
    "

The seller replied, "The person I bought it from had purchased a small collection of vintage shaving items including other hones and razors. I don't know for sure it is a hone and am telling you what I was told. You decide for yourself. This information has been added to the description."

The seller did add that to the description, so I don't know why the auction was ended early.

I told him there wasn't a chance in hell that you could hone a razor on that thing. Said that he should do an ebay search on straight razor hones and see if he found anything other than flat stones to hone on. He said that several people had told him it was not a razor hone, and that he would yank it. I guess my comment was the straw that broke the camels back.
