No one claimed Gigantor?
Granted this blade was listed pretty high, but I'm still surprised she didn't sell. The seller says there's only staining and no damage to the edge, but I guess getting that staining off would ruin the etching he claims is there.

That dude was way too proud of that razor. $148 for a project is way too much.

The pitting looks really bad. If you want to retore it fully, you will probably lose at least 1/8 of width to get rid of all the damage near the edge.
And then with all the apparent pitting, you have some major regrinding to do.
Waaaay too expensive. 80$ tops, and that is being generous.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Wow, that razor needs a lot of work, I agree, I'd probably limit my bid to $40 at the absolute max... It needs a lot of sanding to get it shiney again, and then there is no guarantee it will be salvageable.
I had an 8/8 W&B that looked somewhat like that. I sanded off the rust and found a stress crack in the blade. it ended going to the metalurgy experiment here.

Obviously they didnt know what they had, and how much work it would take to restore it, still kind of surprised though that some Johnny Depp fan didnt snag it.

I think we were all watching that one... btw I emailed the seller asking for a specific width measurement. They said it's in a pic. If they meant the pic on the page, I wouldn't trust anything on it. Reason enough for me not to bid.
