Default The 5/8s Wade and Butcher

So, I posted that 5/8s Keen Shaver Wade and Butcher on eBay.

Anyone care to make any guesses on a closing price?

Would you happen to have a link to her?

    Is it this one? http://cgi.ebay.com/Very-stylized-Wa...QQcmdZViewItem
I remember seeing her on the forums.

I think you'll get more for it if you can add a closeup of blade and tang! Looks like a great razor

You asked for opinions, so I'll say it will sell for $40 or less. I am watching in on the bay, so I'll be interested to see what the market brings.

Really? Less than fourty dollars, you figure? Do you mind if I ask what you think will keep the price so low?

    Unfortunately, low feedback doesn't help.
I also would have honed it up and listed it as shave ready (in the title) rather than offering the option.
Only one pic, no closeups of the nice features. Sometimes the stylized bits might appear to be damaged or personal modifications, unless they are shown to be neat, factory work.
For me, shipping shows as $10 (to New York), and I take the shipping into account when deciding how much to bid.

    Default Hm

Yeah, I can see what you mean about the lack of close ups. Unfortunately there's nothing I can do about that right at the minute (my internet connection is well buggered. I can only even maintain my connection by having the phone off the hook... But where do you still buy a internal hardware modem these days? :P)

If it fails to sell I may try listing again with more pictures.

As for the feedback, do you mean just a lack of feedback? I don't think I've ever recieved anything but good feedback.

I prefer a low total feedback. I have only been burned by busy sellers who can't be bothered to satisfy just one buyer

    What he said.

Unless I knew that the razor's toe was designed that way originally (I am still wondering if that's the case?) if I came across that razor on Ebay, my first thought would be that it was chopped somewhere along the way. I think I'm like most people, I need more photos and close ups when I buy razors on Ebay. With the limited number of razors I sell on Ebay, I try to take pictures to give potential buyers the next best experience to actually holding the razor in their hands with as many close ups and detailed account of flaws as possible. EXAMPLE Auctiva is just great for that since it's free and you can post up to 24 pictures in one listing...for free.

To be clear, I'm sharing my personal opinion since you asked for it, rather than making an authoratative statement on what the value of that razor is.

I honestly hope you get the highest price you possibly can for that razor. That's exactly what Ebay is for! And that's why when I do sell some razors, stones, vinyl albums, etc on Ebay, I want the best chance of receiving the highest price, period. So, while I guessed at $40 or under.....I do hope it sells for over $100.
