    Default eBay Filters

Lets face it: there are a lot of crap razors posted on eBay and it takes a while to scroll through them all, or build a filter to do that for you.

As of now (9:04 am July 10) there are:

    1209 results for

    • straight razor

And you get results for Kriegar, Master, Zeepk and so on. With this filter I've made, you trim out almost 400 garbage results.

    831 results for this filter

    • straight razor -(master, masterusa, kriegar, zeepk, krieger, mib, disposable, "barber knife", raze-tac, 440, G77, G110, G109, stylist, sweeney, gift, "new red", "new white", "new black", KAMISORI, durham, strap, changeable,"vintage style", wig, hybrid, tomahawk)

If you don't know how to make advanced filters feel free to use this one and I'll continue to update this it as more junk comes along.
Or post your filter if its not proprietary .

    Mark,
I merged your filter with my eBay saved search that returns Straight Razors in different languages:

(rasiermesser, "coupe chou", "coupe choux", "straight razor", "cut throat", "navaja afeitar") -(master, masterusa, kriegar, zeepk, krieger, mib, disposable, "barber knife", raze-tac, 440, G77, G110, G109, stylist, sweeney, gift, new(red, white, black), KAMISORI, durham, strap, changeable,"vintage style", wig, hybrid, tomahawk, scrimshaw, pakistan, frost, gettin, bursh, 44o)

Instead of filtering out what I didn't want, I tried to pull out what I did want more effectively.

I included the names of the places where the best razors are made. I found my most recent purchase with that approach. It happens the seller didn't use the words straight or strop. I felt kind of sorry for the guy until in answer to my question about the condition of the blade he sent back this:

check classic shaving.com Solingen best Quality illinois Razor co. almost 200.00 worth of merchandice here i am not going to give a shave with it for 15.00.stuff in picture in what you get.ty
I guess he was most highly and in the most severe degree distressed by how low the final price ended up! I half expect him to break off the blade before he ships.

Solingen Herder's Cutlery Razor & Sharping Leather Belt - eBay (item 120287427975 end time Aug-01-08 07:06:03 PDT)

Anyhow, I don't think I would have found it with a filtered search.

I hope the joke is not on the buyer. Maybe the seller already DID break off the tip of that razor. Why not show the whole blade????????

crossed my mind. I decided to bid what I would pay for just the strop. The razor's a bonus. $32 isn't too much to pay for a new 206 shipped. If the razor is good, I got a great deal! I read around here somewhere that Herder's were good.
