I've only seen one japanese razor in person, but this one certainly looks improperly honed. And I love the quote:

• I have used this razor myself and it shaves flawlessly. I have disinfected/sanitized the blade.
• It is not quite shave-ready right now but it shouldn't take much to get there.

First, how can a 'not quite shave-ready' razor shave flawlessly, and you've gotta love 'expert' opinion of what it takes to get razor to shave right. For God's sake if you are so certain that it doesn't take much, why don't you just go ahead and do it, instead of making excused?
