If you can afford it then get it! Not only is it a good razor but Altima55 is a topnotch seller and his blades come shave ready by most standards!

Depending on the price, you cant go wrong buying that razor. The only fault with it is that the gold wash is gone. With 5+ days to go on the sale and its now at 102$ it looks as if you'd better have some damn deep pockets. Would love to trade my square point for the round one. Good luck, I think you are going to need it.

Double Ducks
Hi,
New here. Been trolling Ebay for old razors. I have seen a lot of nice ones. I never know how high to go on these things, because I am not sure what they are worth. Any suggestions on how to determine non RAD value?
Thanks.

If you do not suffer RAD, bidding is easy. What is it worth to you, determine that , set your bid and walk away. If you do suffer RAD even in its milder forms(incubation)the harder it is to remain objective. To be honest there arent a whole lot of razors on ebay that are worth more than 15-20$ even in great shape, most in my opinion are worth less than that, some are just worthless period. Caveat Emptor.

What's it worth?
Ok, I understand all that, but my difficulty, as a newbie, is determining if "what's it worth to me" is reasonable, given its intrinsic value. For example, I have Lynn's DVD, and he mentions a lot of brands of razors. On many, he says they make superlative shavers, etc. So, let's say I see a brand ABC razor on Ebay, and it is mint or near mint. Are you saying that most of those razors are only worth $15 or $20? I just have no idea what a reasonable price would be. Kind of what I have been doing is looking at the condition and type of scales and trying to compare to modern new razors I have seen. I figure, if I can buy it cheaper than a new one would cost and the condition is very good or mint, it is a deal (this is based on the assumption that the older stuff was made well and with high quality materials, which might be completely off base). But I am still willing to pay a lot more than $20. What I am trying to figure out is if paying more than $20 is reasonable.
