    I just bought a Le Grelot from a French seller on Ebay. I hope I didn't overspend, but I liked the idea of having a razor commemorating the "Sun King" Louis XIV. I am sure I will need some input on cleaning it up. It looks like it is in pretty good shape. My French is rusty as I haven't used it since high school, but I think I understood the answers I got to my questions.

    I've got a model 68 6/8 vintage LeGrelot, and its a great shaver. For $51 you should have a nice addition to your rotation!

    What one could ask more out from a str8 razor?

    These "Le Grelot" are defintively great shavers...

    I have 3 of them, with a too rare "Le Grelot" 7/8 "The Lord Barber" :
