Is the dollar that weak?
Or someone thinks it's the key to unlock the holy grail?

Thanked: 3795Yes.
The heart wants what the heart wants and some wallets are deeper than others. The thing is this guy is constantly selling Fillies so eventually everyone who wants one will get theirs and then the bidding wars will end and then one of those babies will be mine! Oh yes, my plan for world domination, I mean, my plan for getting a NOS Filly is perfect!

And naturally, world domination is best accomplished with a close comfortable shave!
Actually, I think I read somewhere that the dollar has been rallying against the Euro this week. Might have been in a feverish dream littered with NOS Puma Golds and custom Livis....Last edited by ProfessorChaos!; 08-21-2008 at 02:18 AM.

I'm also going to venture a guess that Philly's are getting a lot of "press" recently, and that will always inflate the selling prices of a razor. I've noticed (and I'm sure you all have as well) the same thing happened with Ducks and Friodurs.
PS the dollar seems to be making something of a comeback...unless it's fallen since I last looked (which was about a week ago)

Check it out this morning. This is bizarre. I wonder if the bidding is legit and if the seller will get paid?
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

There's no way I'd spend that kind of money on any razor. My three best shavers in my rotation were all under $30.

It's hard to tell with Ebay's new security policy. But the high bidder (if it's the same person) was bidding up another seller's auction the other day. I don't think it's shill bidding.
