Default Searching Internationally on the eBay

I want to know how you people find razors in non US e-bay auctions. Is there a way to search all the different countries listings at the same time? What's the secret?

Chem fun, the first way to try is by allowing/showing international results in your searches. I've found stuff from the USA and Oz, as well as parts of Europe searching that way.

I'll work on it. The "worldwide" button wasn't checked, I was under the impression that I was already searching world wide. It appears thought that the listings that aren't in english don't display. I'm wondering if I can search those, and find the ones that ship to the US.

I want to know how to keep all the American items from turning up on my UK searches! The shipping and customs can be far too much and I can't see the wood for the trees.

Thanks for the bump. I did find the e-bay seller eBay My World - open_razor on here a few weeks ago. I still can't find the seller via "normal searching" methods. He sold wapi's and I can't find him again other than through my saved seller search.

You should be able to specify geo location and even languages in your search criteria...I believe it is on the left-hand side of the screen when you are creating a search. Sometimes it may depend on how the seller lists things...not sure. I have searches set for all straight razors, straight razors in French and in German.

I get items listed only in those countries and then I get items that appear in all three searches!

As for restricting items to just your country, I believe there is a checkbox for that as well or you may be able to set it to show only items in British Pounds, Euros, etc.

Go to eBay, then to My eBay. At the top click on Advanced Search...it brings up a few fields for you to enter your search info...near the bottom is a link for Advanced Search options...in there you can set language, currency, geo location, even distance from you!

Don't forget to put in terms to exclude: Leaving an open search for "razor" here in the US will get you a lot of Motorola phone ads.

Alternatively, you can find an ad for your favorite item, look at the category listing at the top and then use that as the starting point for your search (i.e. use that as the "search in" location). I think it will let you save the results of a search as a Saved Search and then you can go in a refine it in the My eBay section.

Old thread... new question. I found something cool on a Swedish eBay site, but it didn't seem that the site would accept my eBay login at all--and making a new account(with 0 feedback of course) seemed like a deal-breaker. Does anybody here know about this issue? I actually spent some time looking around the eBay site for answers, but to be honest it felt like "they" would be happy if you stuck to your own country, ie. no real info was available.

    Thanks!

Are you sure? I just logged into the Swedish eBay site using my normal ebay login with no issue whatsoever.

Great--thanks for the help! I guess I was having a small brain fart or some such problem... Let me go try again.

No. I can't log in with my normal and long-held eBay username and password at http://www.tradera.com, the Swedish eBay site. Strange...

Even tried it with a different browser in case it was related--still no logge!

If I follow the password recovery instructions tradera.com tells me my email isn't registered on eBay! Go figure... I guess I'm just lucky!
